On full throttle, the battery life is 120 minutes. For low throttle, or combined with pedaling, average users get 6-8 hours.

Depends on the hull type but for most kayaks the Gen 2 system propels at a speed of 3.5-4mph, and the Gen 3 is up to 4.5mph.

Extremely shallow! The hinged motor system only protrudes 5 inches from the hull bottom so you can get into the spots others can’t.

Yes! The motor was originally designed for salt water. Our company was started in the salty Texas coast. Our first product tester was fishing in the gulf of Mexico out under the oil rigs.

If using in salt water, take extra care to rinse the motor with clean water after each use.

All of our products come with one year warranty and we are generally able to replace parts in just a few days. Some repairs can be done yourself by ordering parts on our website. Read full warranty terms.

The motor weights 1 pounds, and the battery weighs 11 pounds, making the total system weight is about 12 pounds.

The motor is adapted from deep sea submersibles – this motor works in tough saltwater environments and can take abuse from the elements. Every full system comes with a motor tune-up kit for easy, annual maintenance.
